Simona Lache is Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Quality Evaluation at Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania, and professor in Mechanical Engineering. She is currently member of the Institutional Commission of ARACIS (Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education), after serving two terms in the ARACIS Council as director of the Accreditation Department.

Simona has extensive expertise in quality assurance and internationalization of higher education, with an active contribution in the field as an international reviewer and board member of several organizations including INQAAHE, CEENQA, EUA-IEP.

She is an experienced expert for ENQA reviews and has been involved as an academic, quality assurance expert or project manager in several projects dealing with the development, implementation, and external evaluation of higher education system, the development of different policies and methodologies in the field of quality assurance, and the transnational cooperation between universities and enterprises for fostering entrepreneurship, open innovation, work-based learning.
