Given Romania’s role as co-chair of the Thematic Peer Group C on Quality Assurance (TPG C), established within the Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG) for the 2024–2027 work period, the SIQA project aims to support the activities of this group, thereby actively contributing to the implementation of the Bologna Process key commitment regarding the promotion of a “quality culture in higher education, fostered by fit-for-purpose quality assurance processes in line with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG),” as stated in the Tirana Communiqué.
The project aims to support TPG C members, through thematic peer support and learning activities, transnational dialogue, and exchange of good practice, to address gaps in the implementation of the ESG and other QA related commitments, such as those in the field of cross-border quality assurance procedures, the application of European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes and quality assurance of transnational education.
ARACIS coordinates the work packages related to project management, the organization of thematic peer support and dialogue activities during the periodic meetings of TPG C members, as well as the organization of good practice exchanges, the promotion of transnational dialogue, and fostering of mutual learning in the field of quality assurance through study visits among TPG C members; the agency is also engaged in the activities of the other work packages coordinated by the project partners.
