Background

ARACIS is a founding member of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education – CEENQA.

Activities within CEENQA

The agency is represented at CEENQA by Professor Simona Lache, PhD Eng., member of the ARACIS Commission of Institutional Evaluation for Managerial and Financial Activities and former Director of the Accreditation Department of the ARACIS Council (2015-2023), who was elected President of CEENQA at the General Assembly of June 2026. Previously, Professor Simona Lache served as a member of the CEENQA Executive Board for three consecutive terms, in October 202, June 2023, and June 2025.

ARACIS was also represented in the management of CEENQA by Prof. Daniela-Cristina Ghițulică, who served a term as President of CEENQA (2018 – 2020) and two terms as a member of the Executive Board of CEENQA (2014 – 2018).

As a member of CEENQA, ARACIS participates in the events organized by the Network, for example, at the Network’s online bimonthly meetings, as well as in carrying out other specific activities, such as submitting contributions for the CEENQA Newsletter, completing opinion polls, developing various studies, participating in international projects (QUALITAS), etc.

The most recent contribution of ARACIS to the CEENQA Newsletter, published in December 2025, consisted of an article presenting the webinars and the international anniversary conference organized by the agency throughout 2025 to mark the 20th anniversary of its establishment.
