
Luminita-Mihaela Matei is director general for international relations and European affairs in the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research. She is holds BA degrees in Management and European affairs and a Master degree in American studies at the “Babes-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca. Being public servant for more than 20 years, her activities have been focused on European affairs, bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as supporting higher education institutions in the process of internationalization. She is member of various national working groups and participates in international conferences and task forces. She acted as executive director of the Education Reform Initiative of South Eastern Europe Secretariat in Zagreb, Croatia (2006-2007) and has gained European experience in working for the European Training Foundation, an EU agency set up in Turin, Italy (2010-2015), being responsible for stakeholder relations.
